"Reminiscence" is a poetic photographic poster series designed with the selected design principles in mind: contrast, harmony, and emphasis.

As the Covid-19 virus in 2020 continued its global spread exponentially, the numbers of verbal and physical discrimination toward Asians increased drastically. Asian community faced a new wave of stigma and discrimination in the wake of the epidemic. This phenomenon is affected not only citizens of Chinese descent, but Asians as a whole. The hate crime did not just happened online but also in public settings.

That is when #Jenesuispasunvirus movement was born. The hashtag literally translates to "I'm not a virus," reflecting the increasing frustration of Asians residing in non-Asian countries. This PSA poster of myself was designed participate in the movement and protest against the hate and discrimination I also experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic.
